Sunshine snack day!! 🌞😀

A huge thank you to all the families who donated snacks for today! The PTA appreciates it. We had almost 400 items available and each staff member got to pick 3 to start with!

Tasty s’mores bar for the staff today! Thanks for manning it for all the lunches on your day off Mrs. Smith so the burners stayed safe! And thanks to the family who donated the skewers.

Today our staff is enjoying a fresh fruit lemonade bar with raspberries, strawberries and blackberries and extra lemons for those who like it tangy! Thanks to the families who donated the cups and the lemonade.

We donut know what we would do without our amazing staff!

First day of staff appreciation week was treating the staff to Donuts from Donut Nook!

Today was the first of the 2 leadership days at Hazel Dell. Students in grades 3-5 shared performances, speeches, songs, dances and welcomed parents and community members to the classroom to share their learning this year. The columbian came out and did an article about it. What an amazing experience! Tomorrow grades TK-2 will be having their leadership day.

Our next HD PTA meeting is Thursday, May 23rd from 5:30-6:30 in the cafeteria at school.

We will be electing officers and approving a budget for the 2024-2025 school year.

The nominating committee has placed the following individuals up for election.

Co-Secretary: Melarie Schield
Co-Secretary: Valerie Hannah

Due to a change of circumstance we will be accepting nominations from the floor for the positions of Vice President and Treasurer. Eligible candidates shall be paid members of at least 15 days by time of meeting on Thursday, May 23rd.

Please join us at this very important meeting. All paid members are eligible to vote. We need a quorum of attendance to conduct the business necessary.

Day 2 of Staff Appreciation Week at Hazel Dell. Baked Potato Bar. Baked potatoes, butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, chives and chili. Plus vegy tray and fruit.

PS - Special THANKS to the PTA DADS (spouses of board members) who have stepped up to bake potatoes and wash the cups and generally support their partners this week.
