What else will we do in the 11 day all inclusive trip!? After our adventure in Panama with Panama City and Boca de Toro.. we head to Costa Rica with Puerto Viejo, Cahuita National Park, Arenal, and San Jose.. we will catch, Bri Bri Indigenous reserve, a chocolate tour, sloth rescue center, fortuna waterfall, ziplining, bald hot springs, arenal volcano and the 1968 lava trails hike, sarchi village visit, white water rafting and so much more!!! In 2028 we venture to Panama and Costa Rica…these are some pictures of just the first few days of our trip! Come to the parent meeting Wednesday Sept 9 at 6pm in Mrs Wigant’s room to learn more! (Open to any current 8-11th grade student and adult). Who wants to take on the adventure!?! All inclusive trip! (Just need money for souvenirs when you go!)

Panama Costa Rica!!! I just got the customized itinerary and it is EPIC!!!! I am so excited I want to go now!!! Come get details at the QUICK info meeting!!!! Wednesday September 9th at 6:00 in Mrs. Wigant's classroom! Below is just a glimpse of what we will be doing! (This custom tour is unlike one I have done before!) It is going to be an AMAZING ACTION and EDUCATION FILLED ADVENTURE! Who wants to come!?

Day 8/9 we spent our days traveling home.. weather delayed our first plane to Lima and then the second to Miami throwing the whole schedule. We were adaptable and we got everyone home with lots of running. The last five of us are coming in at midnight via rental car from ohare.. nobody has time to wait a whole other day to night for a flight at 8:30.. so instead we get home today still! Great trip and thankfully the airline snafu was on the way home so it didn’t ruin our trip! (Also had a few pics shared with me!;)

After a good sleep.. we will be announcing soon our next trip for July 2028!!! Stay tuned!

The following students were awarded at senior awards night for earning Spanish Honors. To earn Spanish Honors, students must score a cumulative proficiency above their proficiency level when assessed on the rigorous STAMP proficiency test in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Students who score an Intermediate Mid or higher in ALL four skills earn the Iowa Seal of Biliteracy representing they are biliterate in both English and Spanish. Please congratulate these Van Meter Spanish graduates we are so proud of them!
