High schoolers - we are now accepting submissions to our annual writing contest!
Time is always on our minds. We might be pondering the past in one moment and then dreaming about the future in the next. Such musings can take us on fascinating adventures and transport us to entirely new worlds of fantasy.
Create and upload a piece of poetry, creative nonfiction, short fiction, or visual art that touches on one of the following themes: meditation on time, utopias/dystopias, fantasy, or science fiction. Your entry may also reflect on your life in the past, present, or future, whether realistic or fantastic. Due date: March 15, 2023.
Limit: one entry per contestant. Questions? Please contact [email protected]

This year Sigma Tau Delta was proud to host the 2022 "Reemergence: Navigating Through Change" Spring High School Writing Contest. The Writing Contest is an event where we ask students from the surrounding High Schools in the area to submit their creative works for a chance to win a prize. This year we included a chance for those submissions to be published in the Spring edition of The Lighter, our literary magazine on campus.
We want to take the time to thank everyone who played a part in helping make this a great event! Thank you for helping us Navigate Through Change.
