🧪➗ Learning in action in Mrs. Bunn’s Chemistry class!

Students completed a hands-on math and science problem-solving task using dimensional analysis and a set of clue cards to determine the total tortoise and fisherman population on a fictional island. 🐢🎣

This activity gave students the opportunity to apply chemistry skills, think critically, work through multiple steps, and use evidence from the clues to solve the problem.

We love seeing our students actively engaged and making connections across content areas! 💛🖤

📚✨ Learning looks a little different when students earn the opportunity to collaborate in a flexible seating space!

Mrs. Williams’ class earned flexible seating for group work through good behavior and active participation in the lesson. Students worked together to search for text evidence and strengthen their skills through IXL skill plans.

We love seeing students take ownership of their learning while working together in a positive, productive environment! 💛🖤

Mrs. Bunn’s Anatomy Class completed a hands-on simulation for students to assume the role of forensic pathologists conducting an autopsy to determine cause of death. Using proper anatomical and directional terminology, students documented wound locations, described injuries relative to body places and regions, and drew evidence-based conclusions about the mechanisms and manner of death. 🖤💛

💛🐾 Our FIRST Positive Office Referral of the school year! 🐾💛

We are so excited to celebrate one of our 6th grade Bobcats for earning the very first Positive Office Referral of the year! 💛🖤

She was recognized for the kindness she showed to one of our new 6th grade students. Starting at a new school can feel overwhelming, and a simple act of kindness can make all the difference. We are proud of her for noticing someone who needed a friend and choosing to make them feel welcomed and included. ❤️

These are the moments we love to celebrate! Positive choices, kindness, and looking out for others help make Beulah a great place to be.

👏 Congratulations, Amari on setting such a wonderful example for your classmates and for starting our Positive Office Referrals off in the best way possible!

Parents and Guardians, please talk with your students about this!

⚠️Alabama has strengthened its Making a Terrorist Threat laws.

⚠️A threat made at school, online, by text, or even "as a joke" can lead to suspension or expulsion from school and criminal charges.

⚠️Remind your student that everyone gets angry and has bad days. What matters is how they respond.

⚠️Encourage your student when they're angry, embarrassed or overwhelmed, there are better choices:

• Walk away.
• Talk to a trusted adult about their feelings.
• Take time to cool off before speaking, texting, or posting online.

Words Matter. Choose them wisely.
