Valley City Adult Learning Center Adult Education provides programs to help students achieve:
-GED (alternative high school diploma)
- All programs provided free of charge.

So sorry these are coming out later than usual, but here goes:
Welcome back to the new school year. A few announcements:

1. Please excuse the state of the classroom these first 2weeks. We had a massive overhaul and a wall installed. So for now we will live in a bit of cluttered, but manageable chaos.

2. Schedule changes:
-there are slight changes to the daily schedule from last school year.
-biggest change: Sunday class option. I will be offering these twice a month. In exchange, there will be a couple of fridays or an alternative day off in the month schedule.
-all schedule changes are marked by color-either a highlight or darkened in.

3. The remind app still is the best texting option. Tho, be aware, there is a new/old cell phone policy in place which we will discuss in class during orientation. If you need to get ahold of me, the best way is by phone or email-both listed on the calendars.

Sorry for the late post. Here is a tentative schedule for May and June.

Important dates to consider:

1. Last day of the SVACTC school year: 05/21/26
2. First day of the extended school year schedule: 05/26/26
-no transition between dates, just a slight change of day schedules
3. 06/15/26: end of school year class bash bingo extravaganza: 12:45pm-2:45pm
—Graduations—
-Valley City: 06/16/26, 6pm*
-Jamestown: 06/17/26, 6pm*
*grads you have the option to choose your graduation date and location*
4. Last day of classes for the school year: 06/18/26
—August calendar will come out in June—

The Valley City ALC will be closed tomorrow, 02/19. Classes will resume friday, 02/20. Be vigilant of the weather related travel announcements and stay safe.
