The Melodies Voice Academy 2026 Singer-Songwriter Album has officially been released!

These songs began as ideas, feelings, melodies, and words—and our student artists had the courage to shape them into something real. They wrote, revised, rehearsed, recorded, and now they’re ready to share their original music with you.

It’s not every day that I get to celebrate TWO students playing the same lead role. Please give both Mackenzie Schnur and Zoey Szelong a huge CONGRATULATIONS on their roles as Poppy in jeterbackyardtheater’s summer productions of Trolls the Musical.

One of the biggest joys of my life is watching students grow up, leave the nest, and make beautiful music. I remember working with Bella at 9 years old - she is such a sweet soul with music to match. I just found out she’s on tour in the UK and Australia. Im so happy for her and i was truly blessed to be a part oher joirney.

Your voice is an instrument — and every instrument needs a warm-up. 🎤🔥
Here's a 60-SECOND morning warm-up you can do before your first song, audition, or even just your morning coffee:
🫧 20 sec — Lip Bubbles (brrr up and down your range)
🎵 20 sec — Gentle Sirens (slide from low to high on "ooo")
😮 20 sec — Hum Through the O (open mouth, feel the resonance)
That's it. One minute. Your voice will thank you ALL day.
Most people skip warm-ups and wonder why their voice feels tight or strained. Don't be most people. 💪
💡 Pro tip: Do this BEFORE you sing — not after you've already pushed through 3 songs. Your vocal cords need to wake up just like the rest of your body!
