NEW INJECTABLES ON THE HORIZON šŸ’‰āœØ

The aesthetics industry is evolving—and the upcoming years are bringing some exciting new options for both neuromodulators and dermal fillers.

Here are 4 injectables to have on your radar:

šŸ”¹ Relfydessā„¢ | Galderma
A ready-to-use liquid neuromodulator designed to eliminate reconstitution. It has demonstrated early visible results and potentially longer duration than some existing Type A toxins.

šŸ”¹ TrenibotEā„¢ | AbbVie
A next-generation Type E toxin designed with a faster onset and shorter duration. This could be particularly interesting for patients who want temporary results, are nervous about committing to toxin, or may have reduced response to Type A toxins.

šŸ”¹ SayphaĀ® MagIQā„¢ | Croma-Pharma / ObagiĀ®
An HA filler focused on predictable injection behavior, natural tissue integration and subtle correction. Its MACRO core technology creates a stable 3D HA matrix and is reported to last up to 12 months.

šŸ”¹ Evolysseā„¢ Sculpt | Evolus
A volumizing HA filler designed specifically for midface volume restoration. Its cold manufacturing technology is intended to preserve the filler’s natural structure and may contribute to less post-placement swelling.

The big shift?

Injectables are moving beyond simply ā€œfillingā€ or ā€œfreezing.ā€

We’re seeing more emphasis on onset, duration, tissue integration, predictability, movement, swelling and patient-specific outcomes.

For aesthetic clinicians, staying educated on emerging technologies will be just as important as mastering the products we already use.

There’s a problem with the laser industry……

07/31/2026

The term ā€œaesthetic injectorā€ has become incredibly popular—but our profession is so much bigger than injections.

Many of us aren’t just injecting neurotoxins and fillers. We’re performing laser treatments, microneedling, RF microneedling, IPL, skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, medical-grade skincare consultations, scar revision, pigmentation treatments, and so much more.

That’s why I prefer the term aesthetic professional or aesthetic clinician.

Our value isn’t defined by a syringe—it’s defined by our knowledge of skin, anatomy, technology, safety, and our ability to create comprehensive treatment plans that help patients achieve their goals.

Whether you’re an RN, NP, PA, physician, or other licensed aesthetic provider, don’t limit your identity to one procedure. The field of aesthetics is constantly evolving, and the best clinicians continue learning across all treatment modalities.

We’re not just injectors.
We’re aesthetic professionals.

How to get started in Aesthetic Nursing 07/31/2026

Over the last few days I’ve noticed there are lots of posts in aesthetic fb groups about poorly run places and toxic work environments.

When I started in aesthetics I didn’t have any clue what questions to ask or what to look for when applying for jobs. Unfortunately the first job I worked at 14 years ago was so poorly ran it was putting my RN license at risk, they were using illegal products, gfes weren’t being done, we were improperly trained on lasers but it did help me get my foot in the door.

You don’t know what you don’t know.

So a few years ago I started a blog post about getting your start in aesthetic nursing which also includes:
-questions to ask during interviews
-asking to shadow for a day to get an idea of the work environment
-asking about opportunities for growth and training
-checking the medical directors license to make sure it’s in good standing

And more

It’s about an 8 min read and it’s too long to post here but it answers alot of questions we get asked as experienced aesthetic nurses on how to get your start. An illegally ran, toxic work environment isn’t worth putting your hard earned license at risk.

I hope this will help others avoid the same situation I was in.

If you search my other blog posts I have also discussed going through a board investigation and why I advocate so much for nurses to make sure they are asking the right questions to potential employers.

Intense pulsed light is one of the most misunderstood and complicated devices to learn. In my experience, having used seven different IPL devices in clinic, it cannot be learned just with one day of training.

It’s one of my favorite technologies to teach on because it’s one of the most rewarding and can give a big bang for the patient’s buck, but it takes time to learn and understand how to maximize your results in minimum amount of treatments meanwhile minimizing adverse effects.

If you’re struggling with intense pulsed light results or your in-service training was subpar and you’re still left with a lot of questions, I help lots of medspas with hands-on or virtual training to understand the technology better.

The best trainers are those that have actually used those specific devices in clinic and aren’t just following protocol sheets.

IPL devices I’ve used in clinic and train on:

Alma Harmony IPL
Lumenis M22
Sciton BBL
InMode Lumecca IPL
Luvo Lucent IPL
Rohrer Spectrum IPL
Cynosure Starlux (formerly Palomar)
