Say Cheese, Vikings! Picture Day is coming up on September 14th.

Mrs. Taylor’s scientists put the Scientific Method to the test today with a simple question:

Will a penny hold more drops of plain water or soapy water?

Students made a hypothesis, conducted their experiment, carefully collected and analyzed data, drew conclusions, and then communicated their results with their classmates.

Along the way, they got a firsthand look at how surface tension affects the way water behaves and discovered that sometimes the simplest experiments can lead to some pretty cool science! 🧪✨

Ms. Voss's students practiced the steps of the scientific method by conducting a penny lab. Students hypothesized the number of soapy and plain-water droplets the penny would hold.

Congrats to our Volleyball Team on opening the season 1-0 with a big win against Pine Grove! Amazing effort from the players and coaching staff!

Happening Tomorrow!

Attention Lowndes Middle School families! Join us for an important Gifted Education Program Meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Media Center.

We’ll be discussing contract criteria, academic expectations, college impact, and details regarding Accelerated and Ninth Grade Academic Courses. You'll also have the opportunity to meet with program and course teachers.
