Peek-a-boo decided to inspect his people's home today. I think the inspection went well.
The Curious Tales of Peek-a-boo the Tortoise and his Humans
This page is the daily life of Peek-a-boo the Sulcata tortoise. Peek was hatched in January of 2011 and came to live with his parents in 2012. I hope you enjoy!
We will do our best to show you all the things that go into his care.
Peek-a-boo enjoying scratches from his Gramma Rickie (that is a piece of greens dangling out of his beak. He was saving for later)
Peek-a-boo enjoying his cucumber facial again. I cleaned everything after the video stopped. He was just really going for it so I had to record! 🥰🥰🥰
Peek-a-boo enjoyed his cucumber water yesterday. He isn't spoiled at all. Lol
Peek-a-boo found out SOMEONE (mom) hadn't latched the gate fully and he decided to pay a visit to some of our neighbors. Luckily, his cousin figured out he had bolted before he got too far. Here is his walk of shame home. I am using the stick to touch his neck and keep him going straight. It was better than letting him crush my feet while trying to herd him. Lol
Peek-a-boo enjoying some tasty Hibiscus Flowers!!
Peek-a-boo enjoyed his Easter lunch!
We have been quiet lately as it is winter here. But every once in awhile it gets warm enough that Peek can spend a few minutes outside. You will catch a glimpse of him munching the grass near the fence in this video of the bees o took a week ago. 🥰🥰

Sorry we have been quiet for a couple weeks. The humans' lives are kind of busy right now. But we heard back that the College of Vet Med said there wasn't any bacteria or any other kinds of scary cells in the sample. They think it was likely a sore that developed a cyst-like thing and as long as it stays drained we should be ok. We are preparing Peek-a-boo's home for fall. We need to get everything ready for him to be indoors full time for the winter. Please enjoy this adorable picture of baby Peek-a-boo with his bigger 'sister from another mister' munching on prickly pear cactus fruit.
Peek-a-boo was extremely unimpressed having to get up so early. He huffed and puffed. Now, fruit is never good for sulcata tortoises but when you need him to do something he won't normally want to do, you use what you have available. He got less than half of this small banana just to get him moving. 🐢🚫🍌
