Three years ago on this day, we lost one of our own to a job related illness. Fire Captain Christopher E. Hill was 46 years old when he passed away due to Glioblastoma brain cancer, and is survived by his wife and two children. Hired by Prince George's County Fire Department in 2002, he served a total of 14 years, his last assignment was Company 23 in Forestville.

Captain Christopher E. Hill is gone but will never be forgotten.

Two of our members just completed a tough week at the National Honor Guard Academy that was being held in Manassas, VA. There they learned basic drill movements, casket protocol, Developing SOP's, Flag etiquette, Leadership training, and Honor Guard history and traditions, as well as numerous other topics. Congratulations to Capt. Tabak and Lt. Leonard on a job well done! Capt. Tabak will be taking over the Honor Guard effective July 1st. Capt. Orr, the present Guard Commander, is retiring.
