Our yearbook staff (led by our 7th Graders) dedicated this year's yearbook to a special teacher who has been a pillar of Carden community for over two decades —Mrs. Gracial.
Scroll to see a photo of the 7th grade students —who were all students of Mrs Gracial's for their Kindergarten program – presenting her with a yearbook.
The dedication reads:
"A vital member of the Carden Arbor View community since 2005, Mrs. Gracial currently teaches kindergarten. She brings warmth and an enormous love for all of her students to the curriculum. She admires the way Carden cares for a nurtures each student's individuality. Thank you Mrs. Gracial for your dedication to every student. We look forward to many more years of your devotion to CAVS."

For their third trimester project, the fourth graders wrote and illustrated children’s books. We are so proud of our young authors! 📚✏️
While an exercise in demonstrating creative and narrative understanding, one of the most exciting aspects of the project is that they have the opportunity to read their finished book to the students in kindergarten through third grade.
This is just one way our entire campus helps to encourage and support each other in our academic and creative endeavors.
The fourth graders get the opportunity to show off their work to their peers and receive feedback (and giggles) from the younger grades.
The younger grades get to look up to their fourth grade schoolmates, and become inspired knowing that one day they will be doing the same project!
Our school is all about the traditions that intertwine and connect the community. Thank you to the teachers — especially 4th Grade teacher Mrs. Dinkelman — for encouraging our students to engage and value their community!
