EKU students and employees have access to Copilot Chat, a chat-based AI tool that can help with things like brainstorming ideas, summarizing information, creating study guides, drafting outlines, and getting started on emails or other written content.
One important distinction: EKU access includes Copilot Chat, not the full Copilot assistant experience built directly into Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Teams.
As with any AI tool, always review, revise, and verify the information it gives you before using it in your work.

Google Gemini is an AI chat tool that can help you brainstorm ideas, summarize information, explain concepts, organize your thoughts, and create a starting point for drafts or study materials.
Just remember: AI should support your work, not replace it. Always review the response, verify important information, and follow your instructor’s course policies before using AI-generated content in an assignment.

Students-
Canvas may feel like a lot at first, but a few simple habits can make it much easier to stay on track.

Start with Modules to see what you need to complete and in what order. Check your To-Do list, but remember it may not show everything, so be sure to review announcements and your syllabus too.

Pay close attention to due dates and availability dates. A due date tells you when an assignment should be submitted, while availability dates determine when you can open or submit it.

Make a habit of checking Announcements regularly so you do not miss reminders, changes, or important updates from your instructors.

Small habits can make a big difference when it comes to staying organized in Canvas.
