Kiana Pliska, 32, died last night after a domestic violence shooting in St. Francis.

Her sister told WISN 12 News this about her: "Kiana was selfless and took care of everyone. The glue of the family!! Anyone who knew her loved her. She had a laugh that was so contagious and the most beautiful spirit !! Taking from us way too soon. She will forever be missed by so many."

🚨 She did everything people tell women to do… and she still lost her life.

That’s the part too many people ignore.

Thirty-six-year-old Shendora Adams knew she was in danger. She had already put him out. She had already gone to court. She had already gotten a protective order. She had already chosen to leave.

And according to investigators, that still wasn’t enough to save her.

On Thanksgiving Day, authorities say Jamar Calloway forced his way into Shendora’s Bainbridge, Georgia home.

This wasn’t an argument that got out of hand.

Police say he came there armed.

He came there with a purpose.

Inside that home was Shendora’s 19-year-old son, Tyiun Adams—a high school senior who still had his whole future ahead of him.

When the violence began, Tyiun did what no son should ever have to do.

He tried to protect his mother.

Family members say this wasn’t the first time he had stepped in to defend her.

Think about that.

A teenager forced to become his mother’s protector because the person threatening her refused to let her go.

Investigators say Calloway fatally sh💥t Shendora.

He then fatally sh💥t Tyiun.

Afterward, authorities say he fled across state lines to Ocala, Florida, where he later died from a self-inflicted g💥nshot wound.

And people still ask…

“Why didn’t she leave?”

She did.

She left.

She put him out.

She got the protective order.

She asked for help.

The question we should be asking is why so many violent abusers refuse to accept “no”—and why protective orders alone are so often unable to stop deadly violence.

This wasn’t love.

This was control.

This was rage.

And now a mother and her son are gone forever.

Please say their names:

🕊️ Shendora Adams
🕊️ Tyiun Adams

May they never be forgotten.

Domestic violence is brutal and devastating. 💔💔🌹🙏🏽 our prayers go out to the families and communities at large. 💜

⚠️ THIS WASN’T JUST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE — THIS WAS PURE BRUTALITY. ⚠️

At 8:10 that morning, in broad daylight, neighbors were frantically calling 911 because a man was violently attacking a young woman in a hallway.

That woman was just 21 years old.

Her name was Destiny Rumley.

When police arrived, they found Tyreek Black standing near a large knife. Instead of surrendering, investigators say he barricaded himself inside the apartment—with Destiny and their young child still inside.

While officers desperately tried to reach them, Destiny was bleeding.

An officer had to break through a window to rescue the child.

The baby survived.

Destiny didn’t.

The medical examiner says Destiny suffered multiple st🔪b wounds to her torso, arms, legs, and head.

Think about that.

This wasn’t an accident.
This wasn’t a moment of anger.

This was a level of violence that devastated a 21-year-old mother and forever changed a child’s life.

Domestic violence doesn’t always happen behind closed doors in silence.

Sometimes the neighbors hear it.
Sometimes people call for help.
Sometimes police make it there…

…and it’s still too late.

💔 The Beauty and the Beast.

Praying for justice for Destiny Rumley and for the innocent child who now has to grow up without their mother.
