For all the parents who need help with coping with your child's academic pressures and adapting to help the child @ home.

Engage your Children at home :

Listed below, are a few activities that we thought could be helpful in easing it out.
• Help them to work on a Family tree – add in extended members of the family as well.
• Get them to assist in the kitchen – perhaps, as a Junior Master Chef ! Make them a Chef hat. give them an apron.
• Make a report of each fruit or vegetable that goes into a dish. Help them find out the nutritional benefits of eating them.
• Create an Inventory - to get them to know their home better, extending it to their clothes, books and the toys that they have.
• Build further on the reading habit – allow them to read or you read them a lot of age appropriate books. Further, ask them to narrate their reading. If it’s a book that you have read earlier, talk them through the experience of having read the same and share the impact that the stories have had while you were growing up.
• For the creative brain – recycle old newspapers. Using some glue and a pair of scissors, make multi utility paper bags.
• An opportunity to pursue their hobby – be it collecting coins or knick knacks, learning to sing or play music on an instrument. Encourage them to keep at it.
• Let them experiment with skills such as sewing a button or making few basic stitches with the thread and needle.
• Include exercise and fitness as part of the daily routine. Make it a fun filled activity for all members of the family.
