It is with deep sadness that the Professional Taekwondo Federation announces the passing of Grand Master Dai Won Moon (1943–2026), widely respected as the Father of Mexico Taekwondo.

Grand Master Moon introduced Taekwondo to Mexico in 1969 and dedicated his life to the growth and development of Taekwondo around the world. His leadership, passion, and lifelong contributions helped inspire generations of martial artists and played an important role in the global expansion of Taekwondo.

On behalf of the Professional Taekwondo Federation, we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, students, and the entire Taekwondo community during this difficult time.

Grand Master Dai Won Moon’s legacy and contributions to Taekwondo will always be remembered.

May he rest in peace.
