Today, my Princeton United Methodist Church (PUMC) Pastoral Team gifted me with the privilege to lead the Prayers for the People and serve Holy Communion to our congregation. I take this honor very seriously and cherish the Lord's Supper. Christ's body = bread + Christ's blood = wine/grape juice. Both sacrificed for me and the choices I make that do not align with God's intended plan for my life. YET... I am forgiven. Praise be to God.

At the foot of the cross, Roman soldiers cast lots for Jesus' clothes after His crucifixion. This fulfilled an Old Testament prophecy. (John 19:24 & Psalm 22:18). About a year ago, in a church is Charleston, SC, these nine Black believers prayed over a man who then murdered all of them. From the beginning of time, God has called us to pray for and love our enemy. Jesus modeled it in His ministry and at the cross. The call to discipleship of Jesus Christ is a journey of sacrifice and laying down our lives...in this case...literally.

Acknowledging, accepting, and affirming her relationship with the Lord has been her anchor in many storms.
