Student Leadership Spotlight: Daniel Solano

Let’s give a standing ovation to Daniel Solano, a Junior at Accelerate Online Academy whose leadership is rooted in service, humility, and heart.

Daniel supports our English Language Learners Club and also volunteers with Hogar Leche Y Miel, an organization that helps children and adults in marginalized communities learn how to read and write—offering hope and opportunity through education.

He also serves as a youth leader in his Catholic parish’s tourism group, where he will soon guide visitors through a historic neo-gothic church, sharing culture and connection.

AOA School Counselor Ms. Scimo says: "I can't say enough good things about Daniel—his organization, drive, and commitment to his education are exceptional."

Daniel’s impact is far-reaching, and his leadership reminds us that purpose-driven students shape the world in powerful ways.

Student Leadership Spotlight: Suzana Povaliceanu

Meet Suzana Povaliceanu, a Senior at Accelerate Online Academy whose heart for service and academic dedication make her a standout leader in our community!

With a perfect 4.0 GPA and an October 2024 National Honor Society induction, Suzana demonstrates the true balance of academic excellence and compassionate leadership.

She has volunteered over 40 hours supervising during a major annual event at her local library and made a lasting impact by assisting a special needs child, helping him participate in inclusive activities like painting and baking.

Suzana’s commitment to creating opportunities for others reminds all of us that leadership often shows up in the quiet, kind moments that make a big difference.

With a 3.98 GPA and National Honor Society induction in October 2024, Victor exemplifies the values of discipline, compassion, and service.

Victor volunteers with the Romanian Red Cross, where he not only promotes their guiding principles—Humanity, Impartiality, Independence, Volunteering, and Unity—but also helps train new members to carry those values forward.

Victor’s commitment to leadership extends beyond academics—he’s shaping his community and inspiring his peers around the world.

A round of applause for Accelerate Online Academy junior Reid Korody—a true example of what it means to lead with purpose! 👏

Reid balances academic excellence with a deep commitment to service and personal growth. With a 4.0 GPA and induction into the National Honor Society in October 2024, he leads by example in and out of the classroom.

He volunteers in his community through clothing and toy drives, beach and playground cleanups, and still finds time to pursue his passion as an avid golfer, logging 30 hours a week in his program and serving as Chairman of the Short Course.
