These orange signs are very important to lookout for, as they display that there's a construction zone ahead. As a driver, you must make sure you approach with caution, follw the signs/cones accordingly, and slow down because fines will be doubled, even tripled, if you were to create an accident or road violation.

Know what these signs mean?
They both indicate that a lane is ending, and that drivers from that lane should be looking to merge into the lane that stays open.
Picture 1 indicates merging to the right (left lane ends)
Picture 2 indicates merging to the left (right lane ends)

Anytime you see the volt colored sign coupled with the flashing lights, that means there's pedestrians/cyclist preparing to cross or actively crossing. As the driver, it is your job to notice this and prepare to stop as it is the law because they would have the right of way.

Drivers, the guidelines on the road are your best friend. The yellow, that splits two-way traffic, and the white, that keeps you from being too far to the right (where the curb, or grass may be) as well as sharing the road with pedestrians, bikers, etc... Whenever you are driving, you want to use these lines to see as far as possible, and ultimately prepare you for the road ahead (whether it continues straight or begins to curve, etc...).
"By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." -Ben Franklin

What is this gauge, and what does it mean?
This gauge indicates the temperature of your cars engine.
H=hot, C=cold
If the needle ever reaches to the red or the symbol appears on the dashboard, then that means the engine is overheating, or theres a fault in the cooling system. Anytime the needles climbs to the red, you don't want to continue driving because an overheating engine can cause permanent damage to your car and will be very costly.

Anytime you see this light, be sure to check your tires as they are likely low in air, or could be an air leakage due to a puncture. Very important to make sure all your tires have the correct amount of air because too much or too low could cause a blow out while driving. Getting a blowout while driving can be very scary and dangerous, so do your best to avoid this from occurring.

Drivers, very important to always have a sufficient amount of fuel in your car whenever you're driving. Very rarely do you want to see the yellow fuel symbol, especially if your not close to a gas station. Without fuel, the car will not go anywhere and you may find yourself on the side of the road, in a panic.
On another note, does anyone know what side this cars fuel tank is? The white arrow next the the fuel pump indicates which side so you don't have to guess. This cars fuel tanks on the left side.

For my experienced drivers, learning to drive defensively will be very helpful when driving in New Jersey. Unfortunately, not all things can be avoided, however, if you are prepared and looking out for anything to happen, then you increase your chances of surviving if a crash were to occur.

Important:
Mirror placement when driving, allows the driver to see what's going on behind them and to see as much as possible without having to completely take their eyes off the road.
The rearview: should allow you to see through the entirety of the back windshield
The sideviews: should show a small amount of your own vehicle and everything else to the left/right of the car, to give a perception of where your vehicle is compared to other vehicles/objects, etc...
