It was such a joy to be part of the Free Medical Clinic Event hosted by Medical Missions at Brandon, FL, this past weekend. My wife Jessica and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet so many kind-hearted individuals dedicated to serving others. Their compassion and commitment to helping people truly touched our hearts.

The food we eat can either promote inflammation or reduce it, depending on our choices. If you or someone you know has autism or many psychiatric conditions, it's especially important to avoid junk food because inflammation is already high in those individuals.
Did you know that inflammation and nutrient deficiencies can actually make it harder for them to try new things? If we don't improve their nutrition and replenish those deficiencies, the problem may only get worse. Trust me, I've been there.
But with some persistence, the right nutrients, and an anti-inflammatory diet, things can start to change

Want to sleep better? Unplug before going to bed. You need to avoid or power off devices one hour before sleep. Blue light from your cell phone can decrease melatonin in your body, which will affect your ability to have a good night sleep.

Research has shown that levels of Candida in the gut are more than double in autistic patients that in neurotypical individuals. Candida can produce toxins like ammonia, which promotes lack of concentration & focus.

Magnesium can be beneficial for sleep and anxiety. Food sources of magnesium are nuts, legumes, leafy greens, pumpkin seeds, etc. Some signs of low magnesium are leg cramps, constipation, high blood pressure, seizures, etc.
