New Clinical Data: 100% of Participants Showed Statistically Significant Improvement in Insomnia Severity. We're proud to share compelling results from a clinical study on the Vida® oral appliance. The FDA-cleared Vida® oral appliance, which is cleared for the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), was also associated with statistically significant improvements in treating patients with moderate to severe insomnia. 🔬

Key Study Findings:
✅ 100% of participants improved at least one insomnia severity level
✅ ~65% average reduction in Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) scores ✅ All participants ended with no or subthreshold insomnia (p ≈ 0.0000001)
✅ 37-patient study | Ages 28–77 | Conducted 2022–2025
✅ No medications. No batteries. No surgery.

With results like these, signal a meaningful new frontier in sleep medicine.

This image is a powerful reminder of a stark reality. A child struggling to breathe, left untreated, becomes an adult struggling to breathe. Some things, you simply don't grow out of.

Thank you to the IATP: International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Professionals for posting this. We don't want a single child to be missed. This is why we believe so strongly in the work we are doing in our Clinical Studies around the country.

We're so grateful to all the Dental Professionals everywhere who are treating kids and adults in Sleep and Airway. You are making a difference!

Many adults struggling with fatigue, sleep-disordered breathing, TMJ discomfort, or chronic mouth breathing have had these patterns since childhood.

Early airway screening can identify concerns while a child is still growing, when intervention may be more effective.

Don't wait until symptoms become lifelong problems.

Could a child’s daily struggles be connected to how they breathe at night?

As parents, it is incredibly common to mistake a sleep or airway issue for a behavioral problem. When a child is dealing with a pattern of small, frustrating challenges, it often feels like constant detective work trying to find the source.

Clinical data reveals a striking connection: anywhere from 25% to 50% of children diagnosed with ADHD actually have an underlying breathing disorder or sleep-related issue.

But this goes beyond an ADHD diagnosis. Approximately 9 out of 10 children experience at least one symptom of a compromised airway. Because these signs show up in completely different ways, the dots are rarely connected.

Consider these common household disruptions:

Restless Nights: Loud snoring, mouth breathing, tossing and turning, or waking up tired and irritable.

Focus & Behavior: Difficulty paying attention, emotional flare-ups, or trouble sitting still.

Daily Discomfort: Persistent chronic allergies or ongoing bedwetting.

Dental Development: Crowded, crooked, or misaligned teeth starting to show.

Most families treat these as entirely separate medical or dental issues. However, research shows they often share a single structural root cause.

To better understand these links and develop lasting solutions, The Vivos Institute is currently conducting clinical trials in select US metropolitan areas.
