Western State College of Law Founded in 1966, Western State College of Law is the oldest law school in Orange County, Southern California, and is a fully ABA approved private law school.

🎉 Western State College of Law at Westcliff University officially marked the Grand Opening of our Tustin campus with a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday, bringing together more than 200 members of our community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, colleagues, friends, as well as Tustin and state officials.

It was a great opportunity to reconnect, welcome guests into our new home, and celebrate the next chapter of Western State alongside the Tustin community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this milestone so special. 💙⚖️

As the first person in her family to pursue law, Samara has balanced work with Western State’s part-time program while building hands-on experience in personal injury law and finding a community that has supported her along the way. Samara also shares how her Lebanese and Mexican heritage, faith, and the importance of representation have shaped the attorney she hopes to become.

Professor Sandra Rierson was recently quoted in The Christian Science Monitor on the constitutional questions surrounding efforts to limit birthright citizenship.

"If you really want to rewrite the birthright citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment, the best way is to rewrite" it, by amending the Constitution. Professor Rierson explained that the Constitution cannot be edited by an executive order. Congratulations to Professor Rierson on lending her constitutional law expertise to this national conversation! ⚖️
