Your body believes every word you say. And unless you are vigilant as the guardsman at the gate, every word you hear.
So that phrase, "you're a pain in the neck," said to you growing up, or repeated by you now, doesn't just float away. The body takes it literally. It will hold it as tension, deep and apparently hidden away, but it's part of the emotional and mental weight that so often shows up as physical weight and chronic pain with no apparent "cause".
The good news: you can become aware of it, catch it and let it go.
I teach my clients to watch and catch their words and cancel and clear them. Simple. Not always easy when it's been on autopilot for decades. But the physical still needs some love, so find a tender spot in your neck, press gently, and breathe into it and your hand until it eases, and it will. If emotions come up, and they just might, be the kind watcher and stay present as you breathe and let go.
I walk you through the whole thing on my YouTube channel for Yogilachi
