529 Savings Plans Providers 07/27/2026

This is a reminder that if you are planning to enroll in the fall 2026 semester and will be using your 529 College Savings Plan for payment, you should request funds as soon as possible so they are received by the August 15 payment due date. You can find more information at saic.edu/529.

Suggested dates each semester:

Fall: Request by July 15 β†’ Arrives by August 15
Winter: Request by November 15 β†’ Arrives by December 15
Spring: Request by December 15 β†’ Arrives by January 15
Summer: Request by April 15 β†’ Arrives by May 15

New! Electronic Processing and Delivery to the Bursar's Office:

To make paying easier, below please find details about electronic processing and sending payment to our Bursar.

1. Electronic Processing: SAIC now offers electronic 529 processing through our payment and refund partner, Transact, via their online portal for 36 providers including Bright Start, CollegeAdvantage Direct 529, ScholarShare 529, Bright Start, Michigan Education, Embark, and Collegebound. 2. Send to the Bursar Instead of Student Financial Services: The paper check payment processing for 529 College Savings Plan has been transferred from the Student Financial Services offices to the Bursar's Office effective immediately. As always, please make sure to add the student name and SAIC ID number as an identifier on the payment or any corresponding information you are sending.
