Yesterday’s Roots + Wings Women’s Circle was full of honest, vulnerable, and deep conversations. Sitting in the circle with the support of other women is a beautiful way to receive support, especially in difficult times.

It’s easy to isolate when things get tough. It takes courage to step into the support of your community.

We are not all the same, and we look at things in many different ways. This is what makes women’s circles so rich and full of depth.

I have so much gratitude for each woman who sits in this support, judgement free space. 💜🙏🏼

When was the last time you sat somewhere beautiful with nowhere else you needed to be and felt your nervous system slow down?

No one needing anything from you.
Nothing to accomplish.
Just space to hear yourself again.

At The Path Back to You Women's Retreat at Kripalu, you’ll have a weekend to step away from your everyday responsibilities and slow down.

We’ll spend time in women’s circles, walk mindfully in the Berkshires, meditate and reflect—and you’ll have plenty of unstructured time to rest, take a yoga class, explore the grounds, or simply sit somewhere beautiful and do nothing at all.

Come home feeling rested, grounded, clearer about what you need, and more connected to yourself.

November 13–15 at Kripalu in the Berkshires
Nature. Reflection. Connection.

Before Halloween became costumes, candy, and jack-o'-lanterns, this time of year held a much deeper meaning.

In the Celtic tradition, Samhain (pronounced SAH-win (/ˈsɑːwɪn/) or SOW-in (/ˈsaʊ.ɪn/) marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year. It was a threshold in time.

The fields were becoming quiet. The leaves were falling. The days were shortening. People gathered around fires, honored those who had died, and prepared for the coming winter.

Traditionally, Samhain was also believed to be a time when the boundary between the seen and unseen worlds grew thin—a time to remember and honor the ancestors who came before us.

I love the idea of pausing in nature at this particular moment in the seasonal cycle.

Things are letting go.

Things are returning to the Earth.

On October 31, we'll gather in Coventry for a special Samhain Mindful Outdoor Experience and Forest Bathing—a morning of nature, reflection, ritual, and remembering.

Some of the most meaningful conversations I’ve had with women haven’t happened over lunch or at a party. They’ve happened in circle—meditation circles, shamanic circles, outdoor guide councils, gathered around a fire at the end of the day.

We are women who have stories. We have experiences that have challenged us deeply and prompted us to question the dominant narrative of our culture. We believe in the unseen world woven within what we see every day.

If you’ve been longing for deeper conversation, meaningful community, and a little space to hear yourself again, I’d love to welcome you into this beautiful community.

If you're considering coming on retreat with me, you might be wondering who exactly you're spending the weekend with.

I'm a life coach, yoga and meditation teacher, Mindful Outdoor Guide, Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, women's circle facilitator, nonprofit leader, and so much more...

But those titles only tell you part of the story.

I'm also a woman who knows what it's like to have a very full life.

I've raised children. I've spent decades doing work I care deeply about. I've juggled family, career, responsibilities, relationships, and all of the ordinary things that fill our days.

And woven through all of that is my spiritual life.

I've spent many years learning how to listen more closely—to myself, to nature, to my intuition, and to the quieter things we don't always have words for. I believe we can live with our feet firmly planted in the everyday world while still making space for mystery, ritual, and the unseen.

For me, spirituality isn't separate from my busy life. It's part of how I move through it.

Nature has been one of my greatest teachers in that process.

So has sitting in circles with other women.

And so has allowing myself to admit when I'm tired, when I don't know, when something needs to change, or when I simply need some space.

I don't lead retreats because I have figured everything out.

I create them because I know what it feels like to need a place where you don't have to. A space where you belong.

That's the space I hope to create at Kripalu.

About 25 years ago, I went to Kripalu for the first time.

I was a stressed mom, wife, and employee who was used to taking care of everyone and everything-except myself.

Taking an entire weekend for myself felt almost radical.

I remember waking up one morning to the first snowfall in the mountains. I sat with my coffee and simply watched the snow fall.

There was nowhere I needed to go.

No one needed anything from me.

I didn't need to be productive.

I could simply be.

That feeling stayed with me.

I've returned to Kripalu almost every year since. I've attended programs there, wandered its trails, sat in its quiet spaces, and eventually trained through the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership.

And now I get to bring women there and create the kind of space I needed all those years ago.

Maybe that's why The Path Back to You Women's Retreat feels so personal to me. I'm not inviting you somewhere I've simply chosen as a retreat venue. I'm inviting you somewhere that is personally very special to me, and that has been part of my own path back to myself.
