One of the best ways to build confidence, independence, and life skills in children is by involving them in chores—and it doesn't have to look the same for every child!

For children with autism, chores can be especially meaningful when they align with their interests and strengths. Does your child love organizing? Let them sort socks or arrange pantry items. Enjoy water play? Washing dishes or watering plants may become a favorite task. Fascinated by technology? They might enjoy helping with simple household gadgets or checking off chores on a digital checklist.

When children participate in tasks they enjoy, they're more likely to feel successful, capable, and proud of their contributions to the family.

💡 Make it fun!
