Can’t make it to Austin this November?

You can still join us for AADHI Level I.

My team and I will be in Austin conducting our AADHI training November 16–19, but for those who can’t attend in person, we’re making Level I available live virtually on November 16–17.

Over those two days, we’ll focus on the investigative foundation professionals need to recognize, document, and better understand aquatic abuse, death, and homicide cases.

So if distance or travel has kept you from attending before, this is an opportunity to take part from wherever you are.

Would you recognize aquatic abuse if it was in front of you?

Many professionals may not.

Not because they lack experience, but because almost no one is trained to look for it.

Aquatic death investigation isn't covered in standard curricula. It's a gap nearly every discipline shares, from first responders to prosecutors.

That's why my team and I are leading two days of AADHI Level I training this November — to close that gap directly.

You can join us November 16–17, in Austin or live virtually.

Over these two days, we walk professionals through the investigative concepts, physical findings, and case considerations that separate a scene that's been properly worked from one where the real answer was missed.

This isn't theory. It's the foundation my team and I use, in cases, before anyone determines what actually happened.

If your work puts you at the scene of a death in or around water, whether you're the first responder, the investigator, the evaluator, or the one building the case for prosecution, you already know how much can be missed when no one is trained to see it.

Was it an accident, suicide—or was the scene staged?

Aquatic death investigations can be some of the most difficult cases to understand. There is no single medical test for drowning, many findings are not specific to drowning, and critical answers often depend on the scene, the circumstances, and what investigators know to look for.
