As you may have heard, Pennsylvania lawmakers are currently considering House Bill 2632, legislation that would make significant changes to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs.
For many Catholic families, tax credit scholarships make a Catholic education possible.
As currently written, House Bill 2632 would:
• Phase out the existing EITC and OSTC programs and replace them with a new scholarship structure beginning in 2027.
• Reduce available scholarship funding, potentially impacting thousands of students across Pennsylvania who currently rely on these programs to attend the school that best meets their needs.
• Create additional administrative requirements for scholarship organizations and participating schools, while also imposing a new assessment on scholarship organizations that could further reduce funds available for student scholarships.
The bill has advanced from the House Education Committee and may soon be considered by the full House and Senate.
If you believe these scholarship programs are important for Pennsylvania families and students, now is the time to make your voice heard. Contact your legislators today using the link below or in our bio on Instagram.

Each month, our students focus to work on a virtue, and we recognize those who model that virtue in their words and actions. Their names are added to the leaves on our Virtues Tree as a reminder of the many ways they help our school community grow.
Month by month, our tree has filled with leaves, and now it is full! We are so proud of all the students who have demonstrated these virtues throughout the year. Just look at how beautiful our Virtues Tree has become!

In the Old Testament, God commands that the Israelites harvest a "first fruit" every year and offer it to him. This means that the first food coming forth from the earth went to the Lord, not to the people.
This feast was designed to establish a greater trust in God - if you give over the first fruit to him, you need to trust that the rest of the harvest will be plentiful.
Today, we are encouraged to tithe, or give a tenth, to God and charitable organizations. Do we give the first tenth we receive each month? Or do we give from our excess? Consider offering up that first fruit to God to establish greater trust in him!
