Connie Rindal Obituary
Connie Jean (Birtzer) Rindal, 71, of Fall Creek passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Connie was born on May 26, 1952, in Eau Claire and married Jerry Rindal on September 8, 1973, at Holy Guardian Angels Church in Brackett, WI. Together, Connie and Jerry ran a dairy farm near Osseo, WI, eventually moving to Fall Creek where they farmed and raised a family together.
Connie attended grade school in Cleghorn where she lived with her family as they owned and operated Birtzer’s Grocery Store. Connie graduated from Regis High School in 1970, having made many friends and participated in 4-H and band, playing the saxophone, which inspired a lifelong love of music. After graduation, Connie became a dental assistant and helped Dr. Ross Johnson build his practice, remaining his assistant and eventual office manager for many years. She loved getting to know the patients, many of whom became friends.
A member of St. Raymond’s Catholic Church in Brackett for her entire life, Connie was joyfully involved with many aspects of parish life, including teaching CCD, helping organize the annual Fall Bazaar, and participating in Eucharistic Ministry. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she formed many valuable friendships through Bible study and RCIA groups, of which she was a regular participant.
Connie had a rich life and enjoyed spending time with many dear family members and friends, but she loved nothing more than spending time with her beloved husband, Jerry, enjoying the view on the family farm. Connie enjoyed baking, sewing, birdwatching, listening to music, reading, and going for boat rides on local lakes. Connie touched many lives with her generosity, compassion, and good humor, and she will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Connie is survived by her husband, Jerry Rindal, four children, Carrie (Nick) Lubcke of DeForest, WI, Peter Rindal (Dustin Olson) of Eau Claire, WI, Megan (Tim) Roark of Milwaukee, WI, and Karl (Claire) Rindal of Monroe, WI; brothers Rick (Kathy) of Trego, WI, and Steve (Mary) of Hudson, WI; six grandchildren, Ben, Dominic, Evelyn, Alex, Henry and Charlie; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Etta (Falch) Birtzer.
Mass of Christian Burial for Connie will take place at 11 am on Friday, February 2, 2024 at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church, E10455 Mallard Road, Fall Creek, WI, 54742 with Father Greg Bohren officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on that day from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will take place immediately following the service in the Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery with a light lunch to follow at the church.
Connie supported a number of causes that were close to her heart. Donations may be made in her name to one of the following organizations: Eau Claire County 4-H, 227 1st Street North, Altoona, WI 54720, Wisconsin PBS, P.O. Box 7929, Madison, WI 53707-7929, or Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.
