On May 28 and 29, we'll have early release for students that have completed all work & assessments; have returned their signed permission slips; and have transportation. These two early release days are for 𝐖𝐇𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲. These are not district-wide early release days, and buses will run at their regular time (3:30 p.m.).

Walton High School is excited to welcome Jacob Nemith as our next Head Baseball Coach! ⚾️

Coach Nemith is currently coaching at the University of West Florida as they make a run at the Division 2 National Championship! Coach Nemith is also a GSC Conference Champion Coach (2026) and part of two NCAA Regional Championship Teams at the University of West Florida.

As an athlete, Coach Nemith was selected to the Gulf South Conference All-Conference Team three times at the University of West Alabama; was a 2× National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-Region Honoree; was the 2019 Cape Cod Baseball League Champion with the Cotuit Kettleers; and was selected to the All-Area Selection three times while playing at Pace High School. He was also selected to the Florida All-State Team and was the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-State Game Starting Catcher (North Team).

Here's a list of this week's events, as well as the dress code for capping & graduation! 🎓 Reminders for 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 (𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟖):

- Capping practice is 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 for juniors & seniors. Students should report to the football field promptly at 8:10 a.m. Caps & gowns are not required at practice.

- Seniors should wear their caps, gowns, and cords to the senior walk-throughs. Meet at the front office at 12:00 (WMS) and 1:00 (elementary schools).

- The stadium gate will open at 5:00 p.m.
