Well of Being Where play, challenge and mindfulness are our great teachers to build stronger individuals, students

"Learning to work with one another
in an adventurous and experiential way is not new,
yet rarely practiced and highly effective." Over 15 years and across three continents Liz has practiced experiential learning. In the last 10 years her path led her to discover the world of Adventure Education where she put this philosophy and way of learning into education and a way of life.

From work with non

-profits to universities... leading students, professional athletes, school faculty and physical ed. staff, to military leaders, residential therapists and counselors, Liz's audience and experiences have varied.

"Every time I work with a different audience I'm ever more convinced in the power adventure practices have to build and support individuals and teams of all kinds." -Liz

I have such deep respect for strong facilitators.

Those that know they may not know or choose the right activity for a group…that is in an art form.

It’s that wonderful mix of what meets their challenge (not too much, not too little), one that connects to a helpful learning they are desiring or needing, and that speaks to a level of fun and engagement that’s just right.

I get it wrong. Often. Then pivot. And that is a part of the art. Knowing when to question your ideas and when to pivot. Reading the group when they have no idea what you’re watching or why.

This one, after a much less perfect one… met them exactly where they needed and led into the right discussion.

Don ya jus love that. 🥰🎉

Thanks to this Penn Charter school team for stepping up to the challenge.

Was honored to support this team of 150 engineers as their new female CEO has chosen a more ‘human-centered’ approach to leadership.

It means months and years of dedication to changing their approach, and, its the right change. ✊🏽 🔥

Designing a young women’s leadership experience in the woods with this one was not, not amazing. Thanks 💕

A few years ago and I started a conversation to combine aspects of experiential education, trauma informed care and mindfulness based therapies to build an 8 day training that a collection of folks have now been through together. Each year, more learning and growth. 🔥

It’s always an incredible honor to support these deep hearted loving souls. The work they do…is of the most important.

Thanks for allowing me to serve you 💜

LOVE our classroom backdrop. 😍

This cool crew from in Day 3 of an 8 day training. ✊🏽🔥

When , & come together, amazing things can happen.

Andrus has a way of finding incredibly caring and hard working individuals. These trainings are just as much about supporting them as they are about learning to support trauma.

These folks do some of the most important and difficult work with our sweet youth. They also need all the support we can offer 💜

As David said in a discussion about coping strategies at work…what we can control, what we can’t, and what we can do about both… “it’s like Active Listening for ourselves”.

Haha. Yup! Nailed it.

“The first 2 months of life are more instrumental for mental health than the next 12 years” !!!! 😮🤯

Dr. Bruce Perry in ‘What Happened to You?’ with Oprah.

What if… this was common knowledge. I want it to be. Help us help the next generation.

🌟 When we live with trauma, the first part of the brain to be most impacted is our ability to imagine… which directly effects our creativity and access to feel hope. 🌟(Bessel van der Kolk)

Watch Iris fire her imagination here as she invents this killer song.
😂🥰😂

We want these healthy brains to exist for all children, for all people.

It begins with you. With me. Knowing what feeds and strengthens a mind and body. And with our actions to this knowledge, we can begin to dismantle generational trauma and create .

Oh… and you’re welcome for this hilarious video 😉😆🔥
