I'd like to start by saying thank you. Thank you to all my students, friends, and family for all the support over the last year and a half.

I have been very quiet on social media over the last several weeks and it was for good reason. I have taken the position of First Assistant at the Grande Dunes Members Club in order to better myself as a golf professional and will start using social media a bit differently.

I still plan on working with my current students, but in a different capacity.

It was always a professional goal of mine to teach golf full time under my name and I am happy that I was able to achieve that.

Going forward, I will be working primarily with our members and will be restricting any new clients from outside of the club.

Thank you all again.

-Joe

putting in some downswing work. Feeling left hip stay low in transition and impact. His tendency was to post into his left side too soon causing a bit of early extension and flipping post impact.

Can you ask for a better way to spend your afternoon? Walking the beach with and our 2 little ones.

Drill of the Day: Sleeve Tuck Drill

GOAL: maintain connection between arms and torso

DRILL: At address, feel pressure in both armpits, the biceps pressed against the chest. Tuck the sleeves of your shirt under your arms and practice making half swings, keeping that pinch.

Give this drill a try next time you go to the range to help maintain connection between your arms and body to help you hit more solid shots!

Drill of the Day:

Sleeve Tuck Drill -

GOAL: to feel pressure in both arm pits at address with the biceps pressed against the chest and to maintain connection with torso throughout the swing

Great drill for you out that that struggle to keep your arms connected to your body.

My dude .wilczewski.9 putting in some serious work. Phil is an assistant golf professional at Wild Wing Plantation in were working on getting a better setup and takeaway

Rick making some great progress today. Doing some slow motion swings to reinforce proper movements. We used a ball in between his arms to help prevent his trail elbow from flaring in transition.

Little clip from a lesson review for an online client. He is working on getting his hands more behind on his takeaway to allow for a more inward strike to the golf ball with less manipulation of his body. I also instructed him to straighten his right leg more in his takeaway. This allows him to stay more centered over the ball to help eliminate some of his slide into the outside part of his trail foot.

Took a day off to play golf with some old friends and this was where I left myself off the tee on a par 5, it did however give me an opportunity to hit a framed shot. Punch 4 iron through the gap.

⬅️Before and ➡️after. Both are screenshots of in motion swings💦💦. Rick's feeling was to get his hands high at impact, square shoulders, and open hips. In order to do this we:

⚀Improved pivot by extending trail leg in backswing and staying more centered over the ball.

⚁Added flexion to lead hand/wrist at the top of his swing

⚂ Moved lead hand/wrist from flexion to ulnar deviation into impact
