Glenwood HS senior, Giana Jackson, Class of 2026, attended the University of Washington's "Admitted Student Day" this past weekend with family. Giana had a great preview of what college life at UW will be like with fun activities for the newly admitted students. Giana is now "part of the pack" and we wish her the very best this fall at UW!

📣📣Big News from Glenwood High School! 📣📣
We are incredibly proud to celebrate senior, Giana Jackson, who has been accepted to the University of Washington—one of the nation’s Top Tier 1 research universities! 🌟🎉
Even more impressive, during the 2025–2026 admission cycle, 77,400 applications were submitted to the University of Washington, with the university aiming for an incoming freshman class of about 7,300 students this fall. Being admitted is an incredible achievement.
Coming from a small rural high school, this accomplishment is truly extraordinary. Through extra-curriculars, rigorous classes and perseverance, Giana has achieved something remarkable: a full-ride financial aid package to attend the University of Washington! 🎉👏🙌Giana received the Washington College Grant and the Ferguson Scholarship (total aid offered: $33,538)! Yesterday, Giana officially accepted her very generous financial aid package from UW and committed to attend this fall. 🎓💜
Her success is a powerful reminder that big dreams can grow anywhere—even in the smallest schools. We are so proud of her commitment to her education and can’t wait to see the incredible things she will accomplish next.

Day 1 CTE/Trade Schools HS Field Trip with Klickitat, Lyle and Wishram students: Students toured Tongue Point Job Corps campus in Astoria, and enjoyed lunch on campus. Job Corps provides career training and education in several trades for 16- through 24-year-olds at no cost to students.
After our tour, our students had a great time bowling. Tomorrow, we head to LCC and WSU Vancouver campuses!
