Several of our CTE scholars were recognized at today’s Board Meeting for their academic accomplishments within their CTSOs at A.H. Parker High School. 

Nakiya is a senior at A.H. Parker High School and a Birmingham Promise intern who has been working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama this year. Through her internship, Nakiya has gained professional experience and learned about the insurance side of healthcare, which has helped her decide on her future career.
The Caring Foundation is a proud sponsor of Birmingham Promise, which has hosted an internship program with Blue Cross since 2019. We’re also thankful for interns like Nakiya, who brought new experience and insight to the Company throughout her time as an intern!
