Youth is not always associated with maturity, leadership, or responsibility; however, these young men showed all of the above traits combined. After overcoming personal and other obstacles, these young men rose to the occasion and became problem solvers with creative ideas that allowed them to perform at this event and still follow the rules established by the program. These students are our USHS JROTC True Edge Members. They wear their Marine Corp Blues for Quinces and other events; however, since we don't have a certified marine instructor at the moment, they were not allowed to wear their Dress Blues as per the Marine Corp Headquarters. The quince presentation was going to be canceled, but the True Edge Commander and his team asked if they could still support and attend the Event even if they couldn't use their uniform. They would change the routine and perform wearing their own clothes. The Event was a complete success. Most importantly they created memories for two young ladies and made their dream a reality. In today's overwhelmingly challenging world, these young men demonstrated that they are dependable, reliable, responsible individuals and altogether a team. They represented their high unit, their school and their community with utmost honor. I am so proud of all of them ! GO PANTHERS! 🐾💙🐾🖤🐾
