After a careful evaluation of road conditions and weather forecasts, Sand Springs Public Schools will be OPEN Friday, January 30, 2026. Thank you to our maintenance crews who have been hard at work clearing snow, salting walkways, and making sure our schools are ready to welcome everyone back.

Sand Springs Public Schools will be closed Thursday, January 29 due to hazardous road conditions in neighborhoods and side streets. This will be a traditional snow day, not a distance learning day.

Please know the decision to close is never made lightly. We always prefer to keep school in session; however, student and staff safety must come first. After evaluating bus routes and neighborhood roads, district leaders have determined that it would be unsafe to hold school tomorrow.

I had so much fun with Boston as he was Principal for the day. We were able to greet all of the car riders, visited classrooms, and he helped Mrs. Lee put out eggs for the kindergarten egg hunt. To top it off we had a Chick-Fil-A lunch.

We have so much fun and do everything we can to create memories that students cherish for a lifetime.

Thank you Pratt PTO, parents, and to everyone that helped with the Jog-A-Thon. It was so much fun watching the kids run and seeing their faces as they participated together, encouraged each other, and helped each other up when they fell down. Today’s event showed how amazing the students, staff, and families at Pratt Elementary are and why it is my honor to say I am your Principal.

I want to give a big shoutout to Mrs. Lee. She is the glue that holds Pratt together. If you have a student that needs assistance she is there. A class project or school wide event, she is happy to assist. If you need a PTO restraunt night scheduled, she knows what to do. She gives her heart and soul to every person at Pratt and without her I guarantee that my job and so many others would be impossible. I appreciate everything she does for not just the students at Pratt, but for the entire school community.
