Danielle Cooper, daughter of Alicia Conley, will attend Hardin-Simmons University, where she will major in Psychology and minor in Social Work. Danielle received a $48,000 Academic Scholarship, and she will sign a National Letter of Intent to run track for the Cowgirls.
Danielle is a 4-year letterman and 2-year State Qualifier in Track. She was a member of the 2017 Lady Kat Track Team that the was UIL Class 4A Track and Field Team State Runner Up and the UIL Class 4A Track and Field Region I Team Champion. Danielle won 4 Regional medals as a 3-time Regional Qualifier in Track. She won a Silver Medal at the 2018 UIL Class 4A State Track and Field Meet as a member of the Lady Kat 4 X 100 m Relay Team.
An interesting fact about her is that her very first sport was football. She was the only girl on an all boys team, but she didnβt let that discourage her. If anything, her mother says, βItβs what pushed her into being better than the other boys. That determination and drive is what made her into the young woman and athlete she is today.β
Danielle was a member of the Lady Kat Varsity Basketball Team, and she received All-District and Academic All-District Honors. Because of her character and integrity, she received the Bobby Miller Award.
Danielle serves as a PAL in the KHS CTE Human Services Practicum.
Danielle is an Honor Graduate.
