Pilot Hiring Update

The U.S. pilot job market has normalized, with major airlines adjusting their 2025 hiring projections to approximately 500–800 pilots each.

However, industry experts suggest that this slowdown may be temporary and driven by aircraft delivery delays at Boeing and Airbus rather than a reduced demand for pilots.

Great article on the need for regular multi engine emergency procedures training. Airline pilots are doing recurrent training every six months. How often should we be doing the same for the safety of our friends and family that fly with us?

Citing several accidents, the NTSB issued a safety alert on the need for twin-piston operators to prepare in case of partial engine failure.
