Grateful for this partnership!

A huge thank you to Lyda Stokes, program director of SafeGuard Mississippi at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, for generously donating naloxone to support MSU Behavioral Health and other grants led by Dr. Michael Nadorff! 💜

With this donation, we’ll be presenting naloxone trainings over the next few weeks to teach participants what naloxone is, why it’s important, and how to use it. Attendees will also receive their own naloxone to take with them. 💊

We’re so grateful for partnerships that help us expand education and resources throughout our community!

SafeGuard Mississippi is proud to see our work represented on a national stage.

Our Graduate Assistant, Ivy Leong, recently presented at the APhA 2026 Annual Meeting & Exposition in Los Angeles, one of the leading conferences in the country for pharmacy practice, education, and innovation.

Alongside Dr. Yi Yang, Chair of Pharmacy Administration at the University of Mississippi, Ivy shared research on the role of community-based pharmacists as substance use public health educators.

This work highlights the real impact pharmacists are making beyond the pharmacy counter, especially in prevention, education, and community engagement.

We’re incredibly proud of Ivy for representing SafeGuard Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy so well on a national platform!

SafeGuard Mississippi had the opportunity to work with approximately 500 students and staff at Itawamba Agricultural High School during a full-school assembly before students went on Spring Break!
