We were recently notified that Israel requires all travellers to have health insurance that covers Covid19. (You can read more about this requirement at https://www.gov.il/en/departments/news/border_closing_coronavirus_14062020.)
You may already have this coverage through your health insurance plan. We recommend checking with your plan to ensure that you would be covered for Covid19 in Israel (and Jordan, if you will be doing the extension). You should also obtain proof of this coverage from your health insurer.
You may also want to purchase travel insurance to cover the costs of flight changes and other non-medical issues (including those related to Covid19).
