Being part of the alumni association means I survived & succeeded through the Cal system so I can now offer informed support & give back by sponsoring events to network & fundraise.

🔹Why are you a part of East Bay CLAA? I joined CLAA because I wanted to be a positive influence in supporting our Latinx students as well as being part of a community helping to address the many issues facing our students, including social justice, diversity and equity issues.

- Director of Emeritus, UC California Policy Research Center
- President and CEO of Inclusión Américas (InAméricas), a non-profit organization

🔹 Why are you a part of East Bay CLAA?
My mission and goals are to make UC Berkeley Latina and Latino Alumni part of the campus Latinx serving community. I want to support the instructional, research, and public service programs at UC Berkeley to advance equity and the well-being of the nation’s Mexican American and Latinx populations.

Alumni: join us for a CLAA Scholarship Gathering and Alumni Mixer next Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4:30pm - 7:30pm. This will be held at the Latinx Student Resource Center (Heart Field Annex, Building B). Make sure to RSVP using the link in our bio!

The East Bay CLAA chapter is hosting an in-person social on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 6-8pm at the new Latinx Student Resource Center! We welcome all students and alumni to join us 🐻! (This will replace our usual monthly meeting for January 2023)
