📣ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Decoding Dyslexia Park Cities is now the Park Cities Dyslexia Alliance! Our mission is to empower students with dyslexia by engaging in strategic advocacy, sharing insightful resources, and offering compassionate support for families in the Park Cities.

We still love our Decoding Dyslexia friends, are thankful for their invaluable support, and look forward to continuing to work alongside them. There are many reasons for this change, including putting 'Park Cities' first to align with most of our other community groups, and using the word 'alliance' to reflect our new partnership with HPISD.

Did you know there are 10+ IEP software programs used by Texas schools? While some perform well, others create challenges, complicating services for families. This is especially true when waiting for publishers to update features like selecting dyslexia as a standalone area under SLD, a critical component of HB 3928. If your student has already been identified as having dyslexia - be thankful they can get the support they need to thrive!

If your student is struggling in reading, writing, and/or spelling - request that your student’s school do a Full Individual Evaluation.

Dyslexia cannot be cured, but intervention and other support can make learning (and life) much easier!
