Penn State Block & Bridle Club

The Penn State and Delaware Valley University Block and Bridle Chapters are excited to welcome students and leaders from across the nation’s Block and Bridle membership who share a passion for agriculture and future industry goals. We look forward to showcasing the diversity and strengths of Pennsylvania agriculture.

The convention, centered in the Southeast Pennsylvania/Harrisburg area, will include industry tours, breakout speaker sessions on current topics and foundations of Pennsylvania agriculture, student networking activities, and a national awards banquet.

As agriculture in Pennsylvania is highly diverse and interconnected, we hope to involve a wide range of farms, businesses, and industry sectors in some way. Our sponsorship form is attached, and we welcome any additional offers of support.

Our final senior is Madelynn Pimm! This year she served as our public relations chair, was our IM sports chair from 2024-2025, and was our treasurer from 2023-2024. She is graduating with a degree in Agribusiness Management with a minor in International Agriculture👏

Advice for underclassmen: Say yes to every single opportunity- even if you’re tired you will regret not doing everything you can! Also make friends, thats what makes college worth while🫶
Plans after graduation: Move to Missouri to work as a Commercial Management Trainee with ADM💼

Our next senior is David Schultheis! He served as our President last year and was our livestock chair from 2023-2024. He is graduating with a degree in Animal Science with minors in Agribusiness Management and Livestock Production👏

Plans after graduation: Attend auctioneer school and start a business in addition to returning to the family farm and pursue some opportunity in the reproductive industry🧬

Staying grateful for all that we have the ability to be involved in and take with us in the future will make everyday much more purposeful💛

Our next senior is Megan Zipprich! This year she served as service chair, was our vice president from 2024-2025, was the Rumble in the Valley chair in 2024, and was the scrapbook chair in 2023. She is graduating with a degree in Animal Science with a minor in Livestock Production👏

We initiated 3 new members, celebrated our seniors, and welcomed our new officers🎉 Congratulations to everyone, we can’t wait to work even harder next semester💪

Advice for underclassmen: Start saying yes to as many opportunities as you can because that’s where the best connections and memories are made. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and get involved early. The more you put into Block & Bridle, the more you’ll get out of it. And enjoy every moment, it goes by faster than you think🤍
Plans after graduation: Attend veterinary school to become a large animal veterinarian with a specialty in small ruminants🩺
