💙The YouthWISE grant is excited to share our final CE opportunity in collaboration with the Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force. Join SVSU’s Department of Social Work & Youth Services for a FREE Human Trafficking Summit on May 11 and 12, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, held in person on campus. Space is limited to the first 50 participants.

👉🏾Earn 12 Human Trafficking CEUs for social workers, nurses, and occupational therapy professionals. This two-day, trauma-informed Train-the-Trainer will challenge myths, provide evidence-based insights, and equip you with practical tools and confidence to educate others.

💥Today, the YouthWISE grant was able to support the professional development efforts for ALL school social workers that work in Saginaw Public Schools!

👉🏾 Our instructors taught about trauma informed practice, supporting students who have experienced foster care, and human trafficking! Thank you to Moregan LaMarr, LMSW-C, Elizabeth Martin, LLMSW, and Shawn Schutt, MPH, for sharing their knowledge today!

✨Through providing social work CEs and SCECHs through our trainings, we are proud to support the training needs of professionals providing impactful care to young people in our community.

🙏🏽 Thank you to Saginaw Public Schools for fostering this partnership, and to Laurel Hammis, the Social Work Continuing Education Director at SVSU, for providing support throughout the day of training! We are excited for future collaboration efforts to continue investing in this community.
