For Big Art Day, art club wanted to make a large drip mural inspired by Jen Stark. ALL of the students at Kitty Hawk made their own unique drip to add to the mural. Art club worked to put the drips together to make this gorgeous piece. It's crazy what we can do when we all work together. It's in the cafeteria for students to take pictures with!

Following a visit to the San Antonio Museum of Art, high school credit students were inspired by Japanese art and subsequently created takeout box sculptures with their own take on it. To complete the look, students added noodles and chopsticks using a wire armature. Amazing work!

Attendance Matters! 🎉Congratulations to our Kitty Hawk Art teacher, Ms. Carter, who has randomly won a Judson Education Foundation grant for $150 that can be used for her classes.👏 She was entered into a drawing due to her good attendance during the first grading period. Only one teacher per level (ES, MS, HS) was awarded and she won. We are so happy to celebrate your commitment to our students!💚

For Hispanic Heritage Month, art club decorated the door with an ofrenda. The ofrenda has candles made from oil pastels, picture frames made from aluminum foil, marigolds made of folded paper, and drawings of food, sugar skulls, and butterflies.
