The Ecology Learning Center Outdoor Club, a registered Teens to Trails club, recently took a mid-winter trip to the First Push Syndicate Retreat on Lake Alamoosook in Orland, Maine.
This retreat is one of the trips offered through the Teens to Trails Trip Lottery for registered schools, made possible through partner generosity and shared access to outdoor spaces across the state.
The retreat space, generously donated by First Push Syndicate, gave students the chance to spend two nights at a cozy lakeside getaway and use it as a home base for winter adventure.
“With blue skies, great ice, and a cozy place to gather, the group built friendships, cooked together, played games, and tried new experiences like backcountry curling and climbing at Volta,” shared Kate Coseo, Outdoor Club Leader at Ecology Learning Center.
For the club, this was their first mid-winter trip and a chance for students to spend meaningful time together, try new adventures, and build lasting memories.
A huge thank you to First Push Syndicate for sharing their retreat space and helping make these experience possible for students!
