We are excited to announce they have began construction on our new greenhouse!!

The process to get to this point has been years in the making!

The greenhouse will be utilized for students to gain valuable hands-on experience and knowledge about various aspects of plant production management.

This greenhouse will be attached to the CTE Building located behind the high school.

Nine members made the long trip to Rushville High School to compete in District 9 Leadership Development Events on Friday night.

We are super proud of our members and how they represented UC at the contests! Our members gained valuable experience for future endeavors!

The Ag/Farm Business Demonstration by members Bella and Aleah is advancing to compete at the Indiana State FFA Convention in June!

Lucas’s Discovery Natural Resources Demonstration finished 2nd in a tough division.

Kendrick received his plaque for placing 1st in the district for his Ag Services Proficiency.

We are very proud of our young group stepping up and competing in the Leadership Development Events and representing Union City FFA in a positive manner!

Our Small Engines teams traveled to Union County High School to compete in the District 9 Small Engines Career Development Event and the Middle School Small Engines Invitational this past Saturday.

The teams must complete a written industry exam, tool and part identification, skills assessment rotation, Service Manual exam, and engine build where the teams are evaluated on all aspects of the build.

35 teams from our district competed, making this the largest small engines district contest in the state!

At the end of the day, Union City had two teams crack in to the top 10, which is a huge accomplishment!

The team consisting of Tucker Peters and Cooper Woolston finished in 8th place overall, followed closely by our team consisting of Brayden Wasson and Miles Middaugh, who finished in 9th!

Our other high school team members, consisting of Parker Yoder, Jalen Claywell, and Noah Hill, ran in to son issues in the Engine Build but gained valuable experience to help them in the future.

Our Middle School team consisting of Easton Chalfant and Zane Peters finished in 8th place overall in the middle school invitational!

We are extremely proud of these members and their accomplishments this year!

A special THANK YOU goes to Isaac Thornburg for coaching our teams and Jake Thornburg for sharing his experiences and technical skills to help prepare our teams!

Our initial full test run this evening is complete!

We realize we did not mask the wood first, but we wanted to test the machine to make sure it processed the code correctly and engraved the wood correctly with the laser.

The story that leads up to this moment is waaaaaay to long to tell here! The hard work and dedication of Alex and Etthan over the past few weeks has paid off! Persistence and deep dives in to reflective angles and set screws has brought us to this point!

After some test runs today trying to get the focal point dialed in, Mr Woolston is running a test run this evening.
