Congratulations to the entire Punjabi Graduation core team on a successful and historic event! Thank you to everyone who dedicated their time, energy, and passion to celebrating our students, culture, and community. Your hard work made the first Punjabi Graduation in California truly memorable for students and families.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Gurpreet Padam for serving as the keynote speaker at the first Punjabi Graduation in NHUSD.

Dr. Padam shared an inspiring message with our youth about leadership, education, identity, and giving back to the community. We were also honored to celebrate her recognition from the Office of Assemblymember Liz Ortega.

Thank you, Dr. Padam, for uplifting and inspiring the next generation.

We also proudly celebrated over 20 years of the Punjabi Language Program at JLHS — one of only a handful of high school Punjabi programs in the country.

At the first Punjabi Graduation in NHUSD, former NHUSD Trustee and James Logan High School Punjabi Language teacher Ms. Cheema honored each senior with a graduation stole as they celebrated this important milestone, along with Alameda County Board of Supervisor Elisa Marquez .

Union City Mayor Gary Singh honored promoting 8th graders with a medal.

Special thank you to JLHS House Principal Ms. Sukhi Sidhu for serving as the MC and helping make the event so memorable for our students and families.
