Carol Engelhardt is a reading specialist with over 15 years of teaching experience in Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas. Most recently, she worked as a dyslexia intervention specialist at Bridgemark Learning Center and the Brook Hill School, both in the Tyler area.
Her passion for teaching and helping children is rooted in her Christian faith. She believes character and skills should be developed in tandem.
Education and certification:
• B.S. in Secondary Education, UT Austin;
• M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction - Reading, Concordia University;
• Texas teacher certifications in ELL, Special Ed., EC-K, & G/T;
• Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP), Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA);
• Member of International Dyslexia Association (IDA).
She is wife to Craig and mom to two sons.
