Meet Salty Bob Bot.
Bob likes long walks, er, strolls on the beach
But don't let him touch the water, cause that would be bad!
Him and water had a big break up a while back, deciding it was best not to see each other again.
Bob was but a few parts not long ago.
Until three teenagers scraped him together.
They decided it would be cool to win trophies and stuff, using him as their vessel.
So they worked hard together, meeting with another group of teens who had more experience tinkering with stuff in order to make stuff work together.
They learned to speak robot and taught Bob how to communicate.
Most days, Bob enjoys his life.
Once in a while his battery doesn't charge, or parts get left behind, but it all works out in the end.
Bob knows that he's in good hands and is excited to travel from Idaho to California in May.
Bob hopes the teens can raise enough money for him to fly first class, but he knows his ride will probably be in the back of someone's van. Thats alright. At least there will be snacks.
Bob has high hopes of meeting other bots in Cali and can't wait to report back to his friends here in the spud state!

We spent a wonderful lunch hour with one of our sponsors, the Twin Falls Optimist Club, updating them on their JOI club's past 12 months! Each of our three teams, FTC 31970 Rusty Ratches, FLL 53036 The Building Beasts, and the Coils, got to tell about their season & robots, and the Beasts shared their innovation project.
