Sunday Spotlight - Officer Shauna Peterson joined our dept in Jan 2017. Officer Peterson has served as a patrol officer and currently serves as a School Resource Officer. Officer Peterson is a member of our Crisis Negotiations Unit and one of our ALERRT Active Shooter Instructors. We are so proud of Officer Peterson and the work she does. Thank you for your dedication and hard work Officer Peterson!

Our hat and glove drive begins tomorrow. Please consider donating a new hat or a pair of gloves. Thank you

We had a pretty AMAZING night at our annual 6th Grade Girls’ Night Out. Yoga, Zumba, nutrition, online presence, and how to make a difference in each others’ lives are just a few of the sessions the girls rotated through. Thank you to community members and teachers who volunteered their time-especially after working all day. ❤️

Kindness Grams for sale this week. Two for $1.00. They will be delivered on Monday for World Kindness day. ❤️

Give it up for Tom Thompson! the Classified Employee of the Month for October. He is the Head Custodian at Robert Stuart Middle School

Tom’s dad told him, “If you do not learn something every day, you might as well stay in bed.” That has been his inspiration. Tom is a hard worker, and his favorite hobby is anything outside. He would love to go to Ireland someday. The thing people don’t know about him is that he is a Geek. He loves everything medieval and sci-fi. He didn’t choose this career – it chose him, but he wouldn’t trade it for anything. He wants to be remembered as a hard worker. The best day on the job is when things get completed to make it safer for students and staff.

Principal’s note: Tom is a dedicated and conscientious employee. He is always eager to help anyone and always gives 100%. He takes great pride in his work and it shows! Visitors to RSMS can see his handiwork in and around our buildings and grounds. We have never looked better in his capable hands!

Congratulations to Janet Peacock! The Certified Employee of the Month for October. She is the Instructional Coach at Robert Stuart Middle School.

Originally from Durban, South Africa, Janet has made Twin Falls her home for 7 years. Her first-grade teacher and many others who either taught her or taught alongside her have been her inspiration. The one thing people don’t know about her: “I am the only person I know of who does this – I use my computer mouse the wrong way around.” She would love to travel to New Zealand to visit family who have recently moved there. Her hobbies include pickleball and walking. From an early age, she knew she wanted to teach and have a positive impact on children. She wants to be remembered as someone who is always willing to help and support others. As an instructional coach, any day that she has been able to support the teachers at Robert Stuart Middle School is her best day on the job. She has loved every minute!

Principal’s Note: Janet has only been the instructional coach since the start of this school year, however, she has been a trusted colleague and instructional leader at Robert Stuart for far longer than that. She is knowledgeable and experienced as a teacher, and she easily shares that with others. She is hard-working, efficient, focused, and a problem-solver. With her ever-present smile and sincere warmth, she is easily approachable to colleagues and students alike. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our Robert Stuart family!

Spirit Day this Friday!

Stuart and O’Leary teachers attended a national middle school conference and can’t wait to bring back some great things for our schools.

Lost & Found items will soon be taken to a donation center.

We love our new bleachers and can’t wait for the students to see them! Now we just need a clear railing so our views are uninterrupted. Stop by Panda Express today between 10 AM and 10 PM for a meal. RSMS gets a kickback which will go toward a new railing! Check your email for a flyer. You will need to show it-electronically or paper version.

Thank you Mrs. McBride and Mrs. Greene!

We are so excited for new bleachers! The old ones are almost out.

One more “You Matter” picture to share. 😊
